Chambal Fertilizers temporarily shuts down urea plant in Kota
The company will carry out routine maintenance activities during the shutdown period of the plant - which is expected to resume operations during last week of March 2015

The company has decided to carry out routine maintenance activities during the shutdown period. The plant is expected to resume operations during last week of March or first week of April 2015, according to Chambal Fertilisers’ filing.
Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, one of the largest private sector fertiliser producers in India, has two nitrogenous fertiliser (urea) plants are located at Gadepan having a combined capacity to produce about 2 million MT of urea per annum. While the first plant (Gadepan-I) was commissioned in 1993 and second plant (Gadepan-II) came on-stream in 1999.
