Workers of Jumbo Bag's Chennai unit go on strike

Jumbo Bag Ltd, a part of Bliss Group of companies, has informed BSE that the labourers in the company's Unit I plant located at Thatchur Koot Road, Ponneri, Chennai have declared a strike and the same commenced on December 24, 2013. The management is taking effort to finish the dialogue and come to settlement with the workers and it is expected that the issue will be resolved soon.
 
As per company website, Jumbo Bag has the capacity to manufacture over 3.6 million jumbo bags (FIBCs) per annum, making it one of the leading players in India. The FIBCs are available in type A, B, C, D, UN bags and 20-40 feet container liners and addresses applications that are custom-made for industrial purposes.
