New Delhi, Apr 10 (ANI): As the coronavirus crisis grips the nation, the safety and security of the 'corona-warriors' at the frontline is of adequate importance. While the shortage of PPEs is in the light, a youth from the national capital understood the need of the hour and developed a protective gear at his home. 20-year -old Udit Kakar is manufacturing face shields at his home through 3D printers. Speaking to ANI, Kakar said, "I am currently manufacturing face shields at home and I got this idea two weeks back as my mother required these face shields in the hospital as there was some shortage. I got design filed online through some sources as designers in various countries have started taking this initiative. I started printing these in Delhi currently and I wanted to make these available to as many doctors as possible." These face shields are used to protect the health workers from direct splatter from cough and sneezes.
