Fellow soldiers remember their fallen friend Ummer Fayaz

Akhnoor (Jammu and Kashmir), May 22 (ANI): Soldiers of Rajputana Rifles unit on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor sector remembered their fellow fallen soldier Ummer Fayaz. Remembering Fayaz, Colonel Rohit Patil said he was focused and well-versed in his work. He was also very good in sports and Fayaz's death is a huge loss for the unit. The 22-year-old Army officer was abducted and killed by militants after he had gone to attend a relative's wedding in Shopian district of Kashmir. Hailing from Kulgam district, Lt Fayaz from the Infantry was posted in the Akhnoor area in Jammu and was commissioned in the Army in December last year. Fayaz was the first officer from Kashmir posted in Rajputana Rifles unit.
