Indira Gandhi gave slogan of 'Garibi Hatao' but didn't eliminate poverty: PM Modi

Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh), Nov 24 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public rally in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur on Saturday. During the address, Prime Minister Modi said, "Naamdar's (Rahul Gandhi) grandmother (Indira Gandhi) came up with the slogan, 'Garibi Hatao' but was she able to eliminate poverty? They nationalised banks and said the poor would benefit from it, but what happened? So many people did not even have accounts."
