Hyderabad, Aug 08 (ANI): Junior doctors of Osmania Medical College and Gandhi Hospital of Hyderabad staged protest against the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill, 2019 at Dharna Chowk. A junior doctor told ANI, "A person who completed 12th class can take a course of six months for medicine, Where as we studied medicines for six years after that we are eligible for practice how could they learn medicines in six months." "The government has not given clear cut criteria for next exam. We don't have complete details about the exam," protester further added. The Rajya Sabha on August 1 passed the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill 2019, proposing sweeping reforms to medical education amid protests by the medical fraternity. The bill proposes a common final-year MBBS exam, called the National Exit Test (NEXT). On the other side Indian Medical Association (IMA) called countrywide withdrawal of services on August 8.
