Lucknow (UP), Jun 16 (ANI): In a project led by Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), a road is being constructed from Gomti Nagar Police Station to Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Lucknow, using plastic waste collected from across the city. While speaking to ANI, Chief Engineer, LDA said, "Mixing plastic waste increases roads' durability by 40-50%, they will be durable for a longer time." He further added, "8-10% plastic waste is being mixed in coal tar. The road will stay in a good condition for a longer period of time. We use less than 50 micron plastic."
