Pulwama attack: FIR registered against AMU student for objectionable tweet

Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 15 (ANI): An FIR has been registered against a student of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for his objectionable tweet regarding Thursday's Pulwama attack that killed at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans. A police official said that the student has been booked under section 153A IPC and section 67A of the IT Act. Addressing on the issue, AMU PRO Omar Saleem Peerzada said, "We've come to know of the highly objectionable tweet. Taking immediate cognizance he has been suspended by AMU administration. We won't let the University be discredited for one student. We've zero tolerance." Peerzada further added that the student hails from Kashmir and was a BSc Mathematics student.
