Water released from Doyang Hydroelectric Project dam causes flood in Golaghat

Golaghat (Assam), Aug 03 (ANI): Several villages of Golaghat district have been flooded after North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) released water from the Doyang Hydroelectric Project dam. The dam located in Wokha district in Nagaland opened sluice gates to discharge water on Tuesday. SDRF and NDRF teams have been deployed for rescue operations in affected region.
