Islamabad/ Lahore, March 07 (ANI): Pakistan's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that the 67 Kashmiri students, who were expelled from Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) in Meerut for allegedly celebrating Pakistan's victory over India in a cricket match last weekend, were welcome to continue their studies in Pakistan. Aslam said it was a wonderful match which was cheered by everyone across the cricketing world. Manzoor Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of the University, told media that, because of the "unacceptable gesture of a few students", university authorities initially decided to suspend only those students who had shouted slogans.
