PM Modi interacts with representatives of Ceylon Workers' Congress

Dickoya (Sri Lanka), May 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday interacted with few of the representatives from the Ceylon Workers' Congress at Sri Lankan town Dickoya. Ceylon Workers' Congress is a political party that originally represented the Tamils working in plantation industry. The Prime Minister also held a meeting with the members of Tamil Progressive Alliance, who presented him with a memento that contained photograph of the former. Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister joined celebrations of the Buddhist festival Vesak Day. He also announced a direct flight between Colombo and Varanasi. PM Modi arrived in the island nation yesterday for a two-day visit.
