The stock slipped 7% to Rs 150 after the state-owned bank said that it had detected some fraudulent and unauthorised transactions worth about Rs 1.13 trillion ($1771.69 million approx).
The bank did not name the people involved but said it had reported the deals to law enforcement agencies
The cases relate to four branches of the bank in Bhopal and Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh
Banks said his firm fraudulently issued eight LOUs totalling $44.2 million for Hong Kong-based Allahabad Bank and Axis Bank
