PM Modi lays foundation of HAL's helicopter facility

Tumkur (Karnataka), Jan 03 (ANI): The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday unveiled a plaque for the foundation stone of a new helicopter manufacturing unit of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Tumkur district in Karnataka. The Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah, Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ananth Kumar are also present on the occasion. Located 110 km from here, the new facility will manufacture up to 10 classes of helicopters including Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) and Naval Multi-role Helicopters (NMRH).
