Godrej Properties will launch around Rs 22,000 crore worth of housing units for sale in the second half of this fiscal year to capitalise on strong consumer demand, a top company official said.
In an interview with PTI, Godrej Properties Executive Chairperson Pirojsha Godrej said the company had given guidance that it would launch properties worth Rs 40,000 crore and sell units of about Rs 32,500 crore during this fiscal year.
"We have launched Rs 18,600 crore worth of properties during the first six months of this fiscal. Our sales bookings stood at nearly Rs 15,600 crore. Basically, we did 47 per cent of the launch guidance and 48 per cent of the booking value target. And typically, both are skewed to the second half. So, I would say, we are well on track for meeting or exceeding both of those numbers," he said.
Pirojsha said the launch of its housing project at Worli, Mumbai, is underway and hopes to launch a new project in Bandra by March-end.

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited has requested the Railway Board to provide additional wagons suitable for its truck-on-train service, officials said on Sunday.
The truck-on-train (ToT) service enables the transportation of trucks and milk tankers on specially designed wagons. It was launched on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor on September 18, 2023 and plies between Rewari in Haryana and Palanpur in Gujarat.
The service significantly reduces transportation cost and time, traffic congestion, and air pollution, among other benefits.
Officials said that nearly a year after the launch, the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) wrote to the Railway Board seeking more wagons to tap its growing business potential, and has been pursuing the request since then. The association of bus operators on Sunday welcomed the West Bengal government draft notification, which stated that over-15-year-old stage carriers registered in the Kolkata Metropolitan Area will be allowed to ply with bi-annual fitness certificates.
The state government presented the draft notification before the Calcutta High Court. The court held that there is no scope for further adjudication in a petition filed by a private bus owners' association, as their grievances were mitigated in the draft notification presented before it by the government.
Disposing of the petition on Friday, Justice Rai Chattopadhyay gave liberty to the West Bengal government to publish the draft notification as submitted before the court at the earliest point in time.

The Enforcement Directorate has frozen 110 "mule" bank accounts, seized Rs 70 lakh in cash and found usage of Dubai-based cryptocurrency wallets during searches in a money laundering case linked to alleged drug trafficking in Delhi, a statement said on Sunday.
Mule bank accounts are used to transfer illicit funds and are opened by misusing genuine or using fake customer IDs.
The raids were undertaken on November 14 after the federal probe agency took cognisance of a Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) complaint of November 2024 related to the seizure of 82.53 kg of "high-grade" cocaine.
The ED covered five premises in Delhi-NCR and Jaipur during the searches.
The seized party drug was estimated to be worth Rs 900 crore by the NCB and five persons were arrested by the central anti-narcotics agency.
