Bengaluru-based space startup GalaxEye on May 3 announced the successful launch of Mission Drishti, the world’s first OptoSAR satellite, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of Earth observation technologies and reinforcing India’s growing capabilities in the global space sector. Mission Drishti is India’s largest privately developed Earth observation satellite, supporting use cases across defence, agriculture, disaster management, maritime monitoring, and infrastructure planning.
