The Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI) is a life insurance cover linked to the EPF account, offering up to ₹7 lakh benefit to the registered nominees if the employee dies while in service. Every employee who is covered under the EPF system is automatically enrolled in the scheme. It requires no separate premium from employees, as the contribution is made by employers.
