Historian Namboodiri passes away
Well known historian and writer Dr N M Namboodiri passed away at Mannar in Alapuzha district yesterday, his family said.
He was 73 and was suffering from age related ailments.
A recipient of state Sahitiya Akademi award, Namboodiri is survived by wife and 2 daughters.

Condoling his death, Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said Namboodiri's writings on the Zamorin Royals and Malabar region was a valuable contribution for historical research.
'Keralacharithrathinte Nalluvazhikal', 'Kerala Samskaram Akavum Puravum', were among his well known books.
