Last week, both the World Golf Championships at Mount Juliet and Southern Farm Bureau Classic at Annandale were played on courses designed by the ace golfer, besides many other Asian, European and Ladies Tour events. | The Ladies PGA Tour goes to Mexico for the first time in 30 years with the MasterCard Classic to be played in the first weekend of March, 2005. The 54-hole tournament will feature 132 players and will compete for $1.2 million. |
| The event comes to Mexico, at a time when Mexican Lorena Ochoa has emerged as one of the top young stars in women's golf. The top rookie of the year in 2003 is third on the LPGA Money List this season with $1.2 million. |

| The 39-year-old two-time Major champion Dottie Pepper, who announced her retirement in July because of health problems, will move to broadcasting. She has signed a contract with The Golf Channel to become the lead analyst for its tournament coverage. |
