She almost always is captured on camera with a smile on her lips. Always impeccably dressed, Nita Ambani, wife of the richest Indian Mukesh Ambani, insists it is life itself that gives her such a high. She has a lot going in her life to look forward to, for the Gujarati housewife is just that, and a lot more.

The mother of three is also known to be a fastidious planner and a stickler for punctuality. How else would she be able to run the house of the richest Indian in the world, keep a tab of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, spearhead philanthropic initiatives such as Drishti (help underprivileged blind people get back vision) and also be there for Mumbai Indian matches for the IPL league?

Hailing from a middle-class family, Nita always wanted to take up dance as her calling in life, but it is said that her mother wanted her to become a chartered accountant so that she could earn her own money!

While the international school started by Nita is based on world-class institutions, she also heads the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims at helping the under-privileged get better health facilities as well as find a foothold in corporate India by educating them, training them and so on.

Nita also plans to start Reliance University soon. An integral part of Reliance Industries, Nita also helps her husband in matters of administration, marketing and infrastructure such as the look and feel of Reliance Fresh stores, the offices and so on. But the businesswomen is currently best known for being the face of their cricket team Mumbai Indians, which she co-owns with Mukesh Ambani, and is seen ardently cheering her team during every match. Here’s to a great innings.
