3i Infotech Q2 net up 67% at Rs 72 cr

Global IT firm 3i Infotech today said its consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended September 30 rose by 67.12% at Rs 71.93 crore over the corresponding period a year ago.     

The firm had a net profit of Rs 43.04 crore in the second quarter of FY08, 3i-infotech said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.     

The firm's consolidated net sales rose to Rs 601.59 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 277.87 crore in the same period last fiscal.     

On a standalone basis, the company's net profit for Q2 of this fiscal stood at Rs 55.77 crore, an over two-fold growth over the same period a year ago.

The company had a net profit of Rs 23.92 crore in the September quarter of FY08.     

The company's standalone net sales rose to Rs 295.19 crore in the September quarter from Rs 239.47 in the same period last fiscal.     

For the six months ended September 30, 3i-infotech's consolidated net profit grew 56.83 per cent at Rs 130.74 crore over the year -ago period.

The company had a net profit of Rs 83.36 crore in the same period last fiscal.     

Net sales surged to Rs 1,070.62 crore in the six-month period from Rs 538.13 crore in the same period a year ago.
