Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.
Patel Engineering's Managing Director Kavita Shirvaikar said, "Our focus remains on delivering long-term value for our stakeholders while continuously enhancing operational efficiency and output."

The Mumbai-based engineering, procurement, and construction firm has a strong presence in tunnels and underground works for hydroelectric and dam projects.

Frozen potato products manufacturers and exporters HyFun Foods is planning to invest Rs 1,500 crore to set up units in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh to support its expanding exports and domestic market presence, a senior company executive has said.
"We are in the process of adding capacity and ensuring raw potato availability. We are setting up a greenfield manufacturing unit near Ahmedabad, in a town called Mehsana, with a capex of around Rs 1,000 crore. We expect this unit to be operational by January 2027," HyFun Foods Managing Director and Group CEO Haresh Karamchandani told PTI.
He added that after the Gujarat facility, the company has plans to set up another greenfield unit in Madhya Pradesh with a capex of about Rs 500 crore, as it is smaller capacity initially and will gradually be expanded.
Currently, the company has five manufacturing units in Gujarat.
"Once the Gujarat plant becomes operational, we will start scouting for land in MP for setting up a manufacturing facility.

Indian cryptocurrency exchange WazirX on Tuesday launched Taxlyst, a free tax reporting platform that allows investors to generate tax reports from transactions across multiple crypto exchanges ahead of India's income tax filing deadline.
The exchange said the platform is designed to simplify crypto tax calculations by enabling users to upload transaction histories from any exchange and generate reports on gains, losses and tax liabilities within minutes.
Taxlyst automatically analyses trading activity and produces reports including virtual digital asset (VDA) gains and losses, estimated tax liability, futures profit and loss statements, exchange-wise transaction summaries and Schedule VDA-ready reports for income tax filings. For spot transactions, the platform uses the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to calculate gains and losses.

Vedanta Power on Tuesday said rating agency Crisil has upgraded the rating on the company's guaranteed long-term bank facilities, highlighting that the post-demerger structure provides greater strategic focus and enhanced financial flexibility across its businesses.
In a statement, the company said Crisil has upgraded Vedanta Power's guaranteed long-term bank facilities to CRISIL AA+ (CE)/Stable from CRISIL AA (CE), while reaffirming its standalone long-term rating at CRISIL AA-/Stable and short-term rating at CRISIL A1+.
The rating upgrade follows the successful completion of the Vedanta Group's demerger and reflects Vedanta Power's strengthened credit profile, diversified thermal power portfolio, healthy liquidity position and strategic importance, according to the statement.
A CRISIL AA+ (CE) rating means the financial instrument has a high degree of safety regarding timely payment of interest and principal.
Crisil also recognised the company's operating performance, long-term .
