Low cost airline Deccan Aviation has reported net loss of Rs 42.94 crore for the July-September quarter this year.
 
The airline posted a turnover of Rs 536 crore against the corresponding last quarter's unpublished revenue of Rs 187.82 crore.
 
The board also approved in principle foray into air cargo business through a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company. Deccan Aviation managing director GR Gopinath said the aviation industry presently was witnessing increased competition and "fare wars".
