Bajaj Auto & #8217;S Scooter Plant To Follow 5-Day Week

Bajaj Auto Ltd has decided to cut down the production of scooters, its mainline business, due to the economic slowdown. The company announced today that it will slash production at its scooters plant at Akurdi, Maharashtra, by one day every week. The company will now be working only five days a week at the plant instead of six, following the persistent decline in scooter sales during the past few quarters.
