Bonfiglioli Transmission Pvt Ltd (BTFL), a subsidiary of Italy-based Bonfiglioli Riduttori, which manufactures power transmission systems, is planning to invest around Rs 40 crore in 2010 for capacity expansion.
Sonia Bonfiglioli, chief executive officer, Bonfiglioli Riduttori, said the company was planning to increase the capacity of gearboxes to 200,000 units per annum at its Tirumudivakkam plant, near here over the next six months. It currently manufactures 140,000 gearboxes and motors annually for the windmill industry at the plant.
The company has also provided industrial inverters for setting up a 3Mw solar plant at Kolar in Karnataka, M Ganesh, CEO, BTFL, said.
