The higher profitability was on account of higher volume of fertiliser sales, higher subsidy income resulting in compensation for sulphur-based complexes under the new subsidy scheme, higher profitability from pesticides and specialty nutrients businesses and lower interest costs, a company release stated on Monday.
Besides, the income received under the business assistance agreement with South Africa-based Foskor Pty Limited, amounting to Rs 158.59 crore, also contributed to the higher profitability, the release added.
