Wire products manufacturer Diamond Cables today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 140 crore from the Assam Electricity Board for electrification related work.
The company has bagged an order of a large power infrastructure project entailing electrification of North Cachar, Demaji and Kamrup districts of Assam, the company said in a filling to the BSE.
The project work would include survey, re-engineering and laying of power infrastructure in these districts under the aegis of the Assam Electricity Board, the filing added.
Shares of Diamond Cables today surged five per cent to hit upper circuit at Rs 189.15 on the BSE.
