Glochem fire loss put at Rs 50 crore

The financial loss due to the fire at the Glochem bulk drug unit is estimated to be Rs 50 crore. The fire, which broke out initially at the godown at Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma city Parawada near Visakhapatnam, later spread to the entire unit and manufacturing process. An inquiry has been ordered and it would take six months for production to get normal, officials stated.
