Gmmco sets up biz division in Chennai

Gmmco, part of the GP-CK Birla Group, has set up a new business division Gmmco Power at its headquarters in Chennai.    

Gmmco Power has been appointed distributor for Perkins Engines in South, Central and Western India, a company release said here today.    

Perkins was the leader in innovation, design and production of a wide range of state-of-the-art engines, which were manufactured at its various plants in UK.    

As distributors for Perkins, Gmmco Power was equipped to market and maintain Perkins engines in India.    

With a L3 (Level three) capability certified by Perkins, Gmmco Power would be the extended arm of Perkins in India.    

Gmmco Power at Guindy Industrial Estate, Chennai, includes a fully equipped workshop to handle comprehensive engine maintenance, a well-stocked genuine parts store and sales and support teams, the release added.
