A technical audit of Haldia Petrochemicals (HPL) would be carried out to assess the condition of the machinery of the plant, West Bengal Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee said on Wednesday. Stating there were plans to increase the level of polymer production to 240 tonnes per hour from the present 180 tonne per hour, Chatterjee told reporters here that for this a technical audit was required and talks were on with an expert.
