When it comes to salary hikes, Indian executives are better off than their Asian peers. According to global hiring consulting firm Mercer, heads of companies in India will have an average salary hike of 8.3 per cent in 2012, which is better than other Asian countries. Despite a marginal dip from last year's salary rise of 8.4 per cent, Indian executives leads the actual average base pay increase among Asian countries followed by China — at 6.8 per cent for 2011; and projected at 6.5 per cent in 2012, the survey said.
