ING Vysya names Sanjay Shukla as head, consumer assets

Private sector lender ING Vysya Bank has appointed Sanjay Shukla as the head of its consumer assets and sales operations.

Shukla with over two decades of experience in mortgages and retail start-up firms was the business head of Tata Capital Housing Finance prior to this appointment. He had also worked with Citibank, Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) and LIC Housing Finance in various capacities overseeing credit, finance, and business development operations.

"We have a growing consumer asset franchise, which offers mortgages, personal loans and commercial vehicle loans. Our ambition is to scale this business up in volume and geographical distribution. With Sanjay coming in, we look forward to accelerating the growth of our asset portfolio with an eye on credit quality," Uday Sareen, country head of retail banking at ING Vysya Bank said.

ING Vysya Bank has identified retail banking as one of its key growth areas with a stronger focus on consumer assets. The bank currently has 527 branches.
