Mahindra Satyam names COO, Murty takes over as CTO

In the second round top level appointments, Mahindra Satyam today inducted Rakesh Soni as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and made its former CEO A S Murty the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Last week, the IT firm had appointed C P Gurnani the CEO of the company and S Durgashanker the CFO.

Today it announced some of the key ‘C’ level Leadership positions.

"A S Murthy will now play the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), responsible for Technology Competency and Innovation, as well as the creation of technology assets and IP. He also leads apecialised services such as engineering, consulting and IMS.

"Rakesh Soni as Chief Operating Officer will head the delivery for the manufacturing, BFSI, emerging verticals and strategic accounts. He will also lead the integration, corporate planning and strategy portfolio. Rakesh moves into Mahindra Satyam from Tech Mahindra," the company said today.
