Motherson Sumi Systems has formed a joint venture with Calsonic Kansei to meet the growing needs of automotive manufacturers in India.According to a release issued by Motherson Sumi to the BSE today, the joint venture company is likely to be called Calsonic Kansei Motherson Auto Products. While Calsonic Kansei will have 51% in the JV, Motherson Sumi will hold the remaining 49% share.The production is expected to start in 2009 with manufacturing / sales of automotive air-conditioning units for Japanese car makers in India."Calsonic Kansei is a global automotive parts manufacturer specialising in climate control systems, power train cooling products, exhaust systems, body control modules, cockpits and interior components, assemblies and modules," the release added.
