Ola adds TaxiForSure to its mobile app

The personal transport mobile app, Ola, today enabled its customers to book the TaxiForSure hatchback cab on its platform across 26 cities.

TaxiForSure adds to the choice already offered through Mini, Sedan Prime and Auto by Ola as it charges a base fare of Rs 49 for initial 3 kms. TaxiForSure was acquired by Ola earlier this year even though the former's mobile app kept as a separate entity keeping in view of its economy segment appeal.

Yesterday Ola announced a cut in fares of its mini and sedan category cabs in Hyderabad and other cities both in base rates and extra distance while adding TaxiForSure for a wider appeal.

Ola reduced base fare for sedans from Rs 150 for the first 6 km to Rs 100 for the first 5 km and for minis from Rs 100 for first 5 kms to Rs 80 for the first 4 km. The per km charge for extra distance was reduced to Rs 12 from Rs 14 for Sedan and to Rs 9 from Rs 10 for mini category.
