P K Kapil appointed RIL Executive Director

Reliance Industries (RIL), the country's most valued company, today said it has appointed Pawan Kumar Kapil as its Executive Director with effect from May 16.

"The company board has appointed P K Kapil as whole-time director designated as Executive Director of the company effective May 16, 2010," RIL said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The appointment of Kapil comes as Hardev Singh Kohli ceases to be a director of the company effective May 16, 2010 consequent to his resignation.
