The company is in the process of establishing a grinding unit at Vizag, in Andhra Pradesh, with a capacity to grind 1 million tonne per annum. There has been a delay in the implementation of the project, including the schedule among other things, due to the damage caused by cyclone Hudhud.
The company posted a net profit of Rs 23 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014, a 10.16 per cent decrease as compared to Rs 25.6 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2013. Total Income from operations has decreased to Rs 815.9 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014 from 868.2 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2013.
