Former Tata Group Chairman, Ratan Tata, who retired on December 28 last year at age 75, has said that the first few weeks of life after retirement have been wonderfully pleasant.

Tata, who was succeeded by Cyrus Mistry, has tweeted on his page that he has been able to spend much more time at home, play with his dogs and catch up on things that he never found the time to do earlier.

Tata had taken over chairmanship of the group in 1991 and steered it over two decades to make it a $100-billion-plus business empire with operations across the globe.

He says on his twitter page that he will begin to focus attention on specific areas where value can be added to enhance the quality of life of the rural citizens.
