Sheetal Garg joins Den Networks as Vice President - Finance, broadband division

Cable TV distribution network Den Networks Limited announced the appointment of Sheetal Garg as vicepresident-finance for its broadband division.

This is in accordancewith DEN's recent augmentation of the broadband leadership with anumber of key appointments in the business. Garg will spearhead the financefunction of the broadband business.

Garg comes with an experience of over adecade in due diligence, statutory audit and internal audit with theBig 4 consulting firms.

He was till recently vice president -transaction advisory services with Ernst & Young. He has spentaround seven years with E&Y with exposure to over 100 duediligence assignments including strategic buy-outs, PR investmentsand carve outs in diverse sectors including education, technology,media and entertainment, telecommunication.

Prior to EY, he was associated withDeloitte (A.F. Ferguson) as a senior team member. Sameer Manchanda, chairman and managingdirector, DEN Networks said, "We are delighted to welcome Sheetalas part of the broadband leadership team. His diverse experience andacumen will be a great asset as DEN aggressively expands itsbroadband business."

DEN's expertise in cable televisioncoupled with its strong nationwide presence in an estimated 13million homes and with Rs6 million digital cable subscribers provides it a strong platform to rapidly grow its broadbandservices.

With the vision of offering double and triple play servicesto its subscribers, DEN has been investing over the last few years tobuild a large fibre optic backbone through a combination of owned andleased fibre.

DEN will be leveraging DOCSIS 3.0 technology to deliver high speed broadband services to its consumers.
