Infrastructure solutions provider Siemens today said it has bagged two orders worth Rs 360 crore from state-run Power Grid Corp (PGCIL) for commissioning of power substations.

The company has won two orders from PGCIL for setting up turnkey 765 kV substation each at Gaya in Bihar and Ranchi in Jharkhand, Siemens said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the complete substations, it said.

PGCIL is installing these substations under transmission system associated with the Damodar Valley Corporation and Maithon Right Bank Projects.

These substations are green field projects of PGCIL, which will transmit power from DVC Right Bank, the company said.

"The substations will be fully automated and are compact in design which will enhance our customers to handle the plant more efficiently," Siemens Energy Sector CEO A K Dixit said.

Shares of Siemens were trading at Rs 553.80, nominally up by 0.03 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
