On a consolidated basis, the group has posted a net profit of Rs 281.07 crore during the year under review, compared with Rs 282.08 crore recorded during the comparable period of previous financial year. The company's total income rose to Rs 3,761.70 crore, as against Rs 2,470.94 crore recorded during the comparable financial year.
The company has also received Gujarat and Mumbai high courts approval for the demerger scheme, whereby the Haldia division of the SWAL Corporation has been transferred to the company, effect from April 1, 2007.
Due to this transfer, the figures of the current year are not comparable with the corresponding figures of the previous year, the company said.
