Earlier in the evening, Principal Secretary (Appeals and Security) Vijay Satbir Singh had said the former media executive was mentally and physically fit now.
Indrani was discharged from the hospital this evening and moved to the Byculla Women's Prison.
After Indrani's hospitalisation, conflicting reports had emerged on suspected drug overdose in prison. While one report showed she had overdosed on anti-depressant pills, the other found no such thing.
Indrani and two other accused were arrested in August-end on the charge of murdering her daughter and disposing of the body in a forest in Raigad district, about 84 km from here, in April 2012. All the accused has been remanded to judicial custody till October 19.
Bora case is presently being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
