The competition, the only exclusive Criminal Law Moot Court held at an international level in India, was hosted by the Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, from January 15 to 17. The event was organised by Nirmal Luthra in the memory of her late husband, a senior advocate.
In individual categories, Priyanka Sanjay of the National Law University, Jodhpur, was judged the best speaker at the event. Naved Mehmood Ahmed of the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala, was declared the runner-up.
The chief guest, Justice Jasti Chelameswar, praised the concept of a moot court, saying it helped young lawyers shape and strengthen their arguments.
Other prominent guests who attended the award ceremony, held at the India Habitat Centre, included judges S Ravindra Bhat, Ashutosh Kumar and Sangita Dhingra Sehgal.
