The political party promised by Anna Hazare would now happen only after a final consent taking from the masses. The anti-corruption activists have launched an opinion poll seeking   public view on whether a political party should be launched and if the members of the former Team Anna should contest elections.

Anna Hazare would also hold meetings in Bangalore and Delhi this week with prominent citizens in the south and north of India at the end of this week following which a decision on a political party would be announced.

Arvind Kejriwal, Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav the new troika representing Anna Hazare   in their first joint press conference yesterday said that they were carrying out Anna's wish to seek public view before deciding on having a party. One of the features of the proposed party would be that those who contest elections and win under the party would be willing to work for a salary of Rs 25000, not live in government quarters or use government vehicles or seek security for themselves.

Kejriwal said that no party would be launched without Anna's approval. And hence all the process suggested by him would be adhered to. We will act only according to Anna's wishes and Anna would act only according to popular wishes, Kejriwal said.

Meanwhile the response to the opinion poll on SMS led to the mobile number crashing under the weight of 70,000 messages in an hour. Kejriwal said that the views would be collected till Sunday and a decision would be announced on the following day when Anna would have his consultation with citizens  in Delhi.
