194 HP road proposals cleared

Road projects worth over Rs 243 crore in Himachal Pradesh, falling under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna, have been cleared by the central government.

This was disclosed by State Public Works Minister Gulab Singh while presiding over a high-level meeting here on Tuesday.

“Rs 243 crore will be spent on building 194 rural roads. The state is targeting connecting every village having a population of 250 in the state by 2012,” Singh said.
