The third swine flu case was confirmed in Orissa today with the number of suspected swine flu cases going up to 24 in the state.
The latest patient suffering from the deadly flu is Deepak Prusty, an engineering student hailing from Polsara in Ganjam district, state health and family welfare minister Prasanna Acharya said.
He said, the patient is undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College, Cuttack. Prusty, perusing his engineering studies in Chennai, had returned home few days back and had undergone diagnosis after showing swine flu symptoms. Meanwhile, the state government has asked the collectors to take necessary precaution and keep doctors to take up regular health check ups in schools and colleges. Earlier, two cases of swine flu were detected in the state. While first case was reported in Balasore, the second case was detected in Rourkela.
