Seeks personal intervention of PM to impress upon Railways Ministry to establish new rail link between Bathinda and Talwandi Sabo

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday sought the personal intervention of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to impress upon the Ministry of Railways to establish a new rail link between Bathinda and Talwandi Sabo.
The proposed move would be beneficial to pilgrims who want to pay their respect at Takht Shri Damdama Sahib at Talwandi Sabo, said an official.
The chief minister told the PM that keeping in view Sikh religious sentiments, he must ask the Railways to expedite establishing a new line between these places.
Later on, the Badal met the Railway Minister Pawan Bansal over the same subject.
