The Umesh Sarraf-promoted Unison Hotels today emerged as the highest bidder for Hotel Ranjit, an India Tourism Develop-ment Corporation property here, by quoting Rs 30.30 crore.
The reserve price for the hotel, put on the block for the second time today, is Rs 22-24 crore. The only other bid, which was submitted by Avtar Verma of the Seva International, was lower than the reserve price at Rs 21.7 crore.
The Khajuraho Ashok, which was the second hotel on the block today, went to Lalit Suri of Bharat Hotels for Rs 2.21 crore. The reserve price for the hotel was Rs 2 crore.
The only other bid was submitted by Ravi Malhotra-promoted Foresight Group. The UK-based shipping company quoted a price of Rs 2.05 crore.
