ne November 29, 2007Sanjay Dutt today thanked his family and fans for supporting him in troubled times.In his first comments after reaching his Bandra residence from the Yerwada jail in Pune where he was lodged after his conviction, the actor said he had "full faith in the judiciary of the country.""I just want to thank the people of my country, the love of my fans... I want to thank the media for being so supportive to me...I want to thank my family, I love them," Dutt said.He also thanked noted jurists Fali S Nariman and family friend V R Maohar for their support. "They all have done a great job, and I really appreciate that," Dutt said.The actor, sentenced to six years' RI under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case, had spent 37 days behind bars.Updated at 1230 hrs: Sanjay Dutt was today released from the Yerwada Jail after a 37-day stay behind bars following grant of bail by the Supreme Court.Clad in blue jeans and a white kurta, Dutt, who was accompanied by his lawyers, went straight to Pune airport where a chartered aircraft was waiting to take him to Mumbai.The actor, sentenced to six years' rigorous imprisonment under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case, had been granted bail by the Supreme Court on November 27.Dutt, who looked in good spirits as he came out of the jail gates alongwith his friend and jail inmate Yusuf Nalwalla, waived at the crowd and did not interact with the media or shake hands with any of the policemen.
