| "The state government had given Nashik Divisional Revenue Commissionerate a recovery target of Rs 120 crore for the fiscal 2005-06. The division has achieved 111.86 per cent revenue recovery, earning a net revenue of Rs 134.22 crore - Nashik (Rs 49.36 crore), Dhule (Rs 10.69 crore), Nandurbar (Rs 7.89 crore), Jalgaon (Rs 32.20 crore) and Ahmednagar (Rs 34.08 crore). |
| The revenue of Nashik division has increased by 31.10 crore (up 30 per cent) as compared to the last fiscal year (2004-05)," said Sanjay Chahande, Commissioner, Nashik division, while reviewing the performance of Nashik division in the fiscal year 2005-06. |
| In the fiscal 2004-05, Nashik division had collected the net revenue of Rs 103.13 crore - Nashik (Rs 36.91 crore), Dhule (Rs 8.52 crore), Nandurbar (Rs 6.32 crore), Jalgaon (Rs 27.88 crore) and Ahmednagar (Rs 23.47 crore). |
| Informing about the bird flu effect, Sanjay Chahande said, "After an outbreak of bird flu on February 18 in Navapur, around 2.53 lakh birds were culled and the compensation of Rs 1.04 crore was given to the bird-owners. Thereafter, 28 samples were tested positive in Jalgaon district. |
| The culling of birds has been completed. Around 5.93 lakh birds were culled in Jalgaon district. Bird-owners have been given the compensation of Rs. 1.05 crore. |
| About 15,626 people from 42 villages in five districts of the Nashik division were affected due to the Chickun Guniya, a mosquito-transmitted viral fever and they all have been treated. Now, the Chickun Guniya is under control in Nashik division," Dr. Chahande said. |
| While reviewing the water scarcity in Nashik division, Chahande said, "Currently 334 villages and 363 hamlets in five district of Nashik division are facing water scarcity and these villages are being supplied water through 235 tankers - Ahmednagar district (114 tankers), Nashik (53 tankers), Jalgaon (45 tankers), Dhule (22 tankers) and Nandurbar (10 tankers)." |
