Industries dept on fast-track

With projects proposed by investors unable to make significant headway even after being cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, the state industries department has decided to identify the bottlenecks putting brakes on project execution. Since land acquisition poses a big hurdle to the project progress, the state's nodal land acquisition agency — Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation of Orissa — has been asked to expedite the process.
